“North Richland Hills is an exceptional

community. I believe our City Leadership

needs to focus on: Transparency in

leadership, championing tax relief, property

rights, and respect for the community. You

can count on me to deliver for NRH."

- Ricky Rodriguez

Ricky moved to North Richland Hills in 1999 at the age of 14. He met his wife, who teaches middle school English, while attending Richland High School. This summer they will celebrate 20 years of marriage. Together they have two children.

For over ten years Ricky worked at Bell Helicopter, first as a janitor, then moved up through the company to purchasing. In 2015 he left Bell to focus on finishing his education. After his overnight shifts at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Haslet, Ricky drove to UNT and caught a couple of hours of sleep in his car until it was time for class. He did this for almost two years before graduating with a degree in Political Science, as he has always felt called to public service.

Immediately following graduation, Ricky helped with some county-wide campaigns, then worked as an Outreach Representative for Congressman Ron Wright at his district office in Arlington. He then worked in Austin for State Rep. Jeff Cason as his Communications Director, then for the Tarrant County Republican Party as Executive Director, under Chairman Rick Barnes, helping to elect Republicans throughout the county.

Now Ricky is a realtor and an insurance agent and sits on the Parks and Rec committee here in North Richland Hills.

Ready to Deliver for NRH

As a proud Richland High Graduate and longtime NRH resident, Ricky Rodriguez is ready to restore transparent and effective government to our community.

Putting Citizens First

There is no trust without transparency. Ricky will put a stop to practices that shut the community out and restore transparency to City Hall.

Updating Our Infrastructure

Many of our streets are in disrepair. We must invest in our aging infrastructure across all of North Richland Hills.

Protecting Taxpayers

Our property taxes continue to skyrocket

while our government budgets increase.

Ricky will fight to protect taxpayers'

pocketbooks and their property rights.

Improving Public Safety

Ricky will make recruiting and retaining law enforcement a priority by fighting for fair compensation and ensuring they have the equipment they need to keep NRH safe.

Keeping our Parks and Trails Pristine

As a member of the Parks and Rec committee for NRH, I believe that we need to keep our parks and trails in the best condition for our citizens, and for generations to come.
